Whereas customized central electrics were, until now, often characterised by complicated solder connections and complex wire harnesses, these systems can now be structured and designed more compactly and, for example, the extent of wire harnesses can be significantly reduced through the use of press-fit technology.
Press-fit technology is also the predestined technology, which, by virtue of its low contact resistances, represents a solution for the supply and management of high currents on circuit boards.
